Fear

I would like to ask whether fear is a sign of elderly. Whether you have more fear when you get older, because you are more mature, you think about all what you could lose, all what could happen, all what happens already in the world, because you are aware of it. Whether you begin to think about yourself being finite, powerless, and not able to influence most events, just feeling like you are more flowing in a river with different currents and that you can only decide which one is the stronger one, but not which currents contribute to your motions. Whether you feel responsible for someone and for something, but you can give very few support.

Maybe, when you get older, you should have less fear. Because you know you do not have so much too lose, because you already had your chances, because you feel less responsibility because life will go on anyway, and because you know you can learn from mistakes and nobody will judge you anymore.
Maybe, when you are in your thirties or forties, you have more fear because you do not know whether you are young or old. Because old fears of the youngest years come up again, never completely overcome, and because new fears of the oldest years will form.
Maybe, when you are in your thirties or forties, you should have less fear, because of all you have managed so far, you have learnt, you have lived. So that you are confident that you can face new challenges with a solid experienced background.
And you should not think, so far I had luck, it was all just by chance, what if I lose my good luck.
